Evening folks.

Just a quick heads-up. After my post regarding my forward and aft shrouds mysteriously both becoming detached, on the PBO forum, and after a bit of investigating, it appears that there may be some vandals around messing around with people's boats.

A few co-incidental occurances at Stone i.e. a couple of Squibs rigging coming adrift, a furled headsail coming free and a large marker bouy going missing from the beach, and finding pliers gouges in my turnbuckles, it appears there may be some bad stuff going on.

Obviously no absolute certainty but there's enough to suggest people keep their eyes pealed. Especially if you're moored around the St Lawrence, Marconi area.

Cheers,

Nik

Will inform members at my club-Millbeach marine club.
Just up river from you.
We have found over the years, bit of warm weather brings the vermin out..

I don't want to be alarmist but, after chatting to one of the 'bosses' at the club, there seems to be too many co-incidences so it's worth keeping an eye out for eachother at the mo.

Agree about the weather.. It's certainly not 'Pros' as they skipped the saleable stuff and looked like they just wanted to annoy people.. (which has worked in my case)

As I said Nik - not possible.....

PS - remembered I have to get my trailer wiring redone Fri 2PM, can we move to 4.30?

Last summer had a number of items stolen from boats on swing moorings.
Horse shoe belts, plus cage was very poplar, my club members lost over four.
They even took time to unbolt them.
Also number of winch covers stolen (makes you think ehh ?).
We seem to me getting more of this sort of thing, year by year.
We think they are stolen to sell at bootsales or boat jumbles.
Any thoughts?

Further to my previous, i've reported it to the 'folk in uniform' so at the very least they are made aware that some schenanegans is going on.
