East Coast own boat tuition

Can anyone recommend a decent school / bloke for own boat tuition along the East Coast (Essex bit preferably).

I fancy a couple of day refresher and practice with a sympathetic and knowledgeable chap as opposed to the usual 'encouragement' from the other half.....

Would prefer a motorboat fan as opposed to a rag and sticker so we can talk rubbish about big diesel engines etc over a few pints

We're the couple who posted the message about looking for other motor boaters who fancied tagging along for days out.

We've got a 40' flybridge Princess (I think you were possibly moored in front of us last season for a few weeks - along pontoon G in Burnham?). My other half (I am the female (driving!!!!) member of the crew), is prepared to give you a hand if you want.

Hiya...yes we must have been together at Burnham I was on G after a gearbox failure!!

I have just had a look back at the other 'East Coast' post and seen your kind reply...work is getting in the wy of play again and I'm not checking the list as often as I would like!!

I am desperately hoping Tony has got the boat back in the water today 'cos I have been waiting for him to do his stuff for a while but he promised this weekend....

Give Paul Davis of the Medway Cruising School a call. Based on the Medway but gets 10/10 in my book. Knows both motor and sail. His Diesel course is well worth the trip.
