I am based in the Medway and could get to Ramsgate with my Storm, but would need some idea of a date before I cold confirm I am not committed, what with work etc etc.

P.S. the " Hands of a Lord" might also be going, nudge, nudge, wink, wink!
As has a problem yesterday with site; my post disappeared into the giant blackhole. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif similar to flyingspud you fill in the details, if available it would be great to attend a east coast tour. Based gillingham, would meet ramsgate, not done Ostend before. looking forward to it.
thanks for taking the initiative.

Scuttlebutt never ceases to amaze me – only five days since I posted and we’re up to 10 (possible) boats and 6 crew already.
Below the situation today 02/03/05
BOATS
1. Flying Spud (Medway)
2. Sailorman (Ipswich)
3. masterofnone (Gillingham)
4. toutvabien (Ramsgate)
5. Hairbox (Chatham)
6. jimdew (Burnham)
7. Born Free (Great Ouse)
8. Squidge (?)
9. Jim H (?)
10. NAS (if boat)
CREW
1. NAS (if no boat)
2. beancounter
3. h00
4. Stemar
5. Flying Junior
6. PeterB
Feel free to fill in the blanks.
Could those with boats post if they have free berths available for "crew"?
To make it a bit more concrete and less “pie in the sky” I would propose the last WE in May as a date. It’s a UK bank holiday WE, but not a Belgian one (should be less crowded). Also sufficiently late: everyone should be in the water by then and a reasonable guarantee of some halfway decent weather.
Let me know what you think. Could you make it? If not, open to alternative suggestions
Hi William
Joile Brise will be going its our usuall Whit w/e trip. will almost certainly go over on the thursday as last year as it makes for a more relaxed trip

Could you PM me?
Seems I can't send you a PM.
Lost you e-mail address in a computer mishap.
Cheers
William
PS: regards to "you have the hands of a woman, My Lord". Since I don't have to hurry back this year I can join him in his attempt to drink Ostend dry. Darw the line a warm Duvel tho - one has standards after all.
I know there are some native Belgian threading this site, so I guess you'll get some more feedback and pilotage info in the days to come. Here is my first little bit of wisdom shared:

Is this a joke? That 'beer' looks absolutely disgusting. An emergency trip here to try Adnams is advised, asap!

Ive had more Adnams than hot dinners /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
but dont tell the Belgians how to Brew beer /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
they have more private Breweries the us & not stitched-up by Tied Houses as we are.
