Whilst the real Jesters are off across the Atlantic those of us not able to go thought we would meet up at Hamford Water in the Walton Backwaters on 19th & 20th June to discuss their progress and...........what might have been if we were there.

We're meeting there so the Paul and George can bring the Cat's along so be prepared to raft up or anchor.

If anyone would like to join us for this Jester event which isn't a Jester event in a Jester boat that isn't necessarily a Jester boat please feel free to join us.

Good to meet folks again, Lazyness nearly got me on Saturday morning but had a cracking sail up the wallet for a change, Persephone was tested and easily navigated SL to Walton. before the wind became very gusty and "interesting". Despite two reefs tacking into the Orwell I washed the winches on the cockpit coaming :-0 interesting viewpoint standing upright on the side of the cockpit! I saw the dial pass 35 knots but lost interest at that point. When the boat bobbed up it sat at a sustained 30 odd knots. Rafted up against Stingray and proceeded to sample the vintner's art before testing the quality of the Scottish distillation process. A gentle broad reach on the Sunday before meeting 25 knots on the nose in the Colne. Arrived on the mooring with brilliant sunshine and 5 knots of wind in full oilies and wondering where all that wind had come from. Thanks to Paul for the organisation and to all for the convivial company.
