RCC club trip up the East Coast.
First stop Ipswich.
A tad lumpy on way up but the torrential rain did hold off................ until we got into the blimming lock.
Dodged a few lobster pots and Essex looked rather attractive.. ie it was hidden by mist.
Very good fish bar in Ipswich own centre.

Next stop should have The Deben but as wind was building decided to go into Shotley.
Spend two days pinned to pontoon.
Taxi to Pin Mill on first evening and pub just round the corner on 2nd night. Good food and not outrageously over priced.

Decide to take a chance going for Woodbridge, on arrival at the bar nobody has the bottle to go back .............. so in we go.
If anybody finds two large balloon fenders that were washed of a foredeck
Pass B1s old boat " Legacy"on the way in. In case of any doubt it is a HARDY 27.
What a delightful neck of the woods.

After a couple of days exploring the town check out how soon we can get Ballerina over sill for the journey home.

Rest of club cruise boats gone on elsewhere.
We will go back.
Managed to avoid all the football. :)

Restaurant (not a very good description, heartily disliked by berth holders and locals) is about to start using it's microwave again. Yesterday the tables were being pressure washed & there's adverts for it on local radio and the Walton & Frinton Gazette. But do not go there!

It seemed OK when we visited about three or four years ago.
A few more cruise members returned to club yesterday, one or two are still up there somewhere but they are due back at work on Monday :):):).
