East Anglia Yacht Surveys

I am looking at appointing Dominic Buckley of East Anglia Yacht Surveys to carry out a very detailed pre-purchase survey for me. Would appreciate any views and any experience, good or bad. Were you satisfied, or not? Issues missed? Most grateful for any thoughts. Thank you in anticipation of your help.

Used him for a small yacht survey last year, quickly e-mailed initial findings, written report a little slow coming through but understand he was busy at the time, overall satisfied with the survey and at a reasonable cost.

They did a pre purchase survey on BushBay, a Mustang 2800 twin diesel sports cruiser back in 2008.
He was very thorough and also came on the sea trial and put her through her paces explaining all the while why he was doing what.
The written survey was a joy to read, a few technical bits that he was happy to explain and some photos to boot.
The survey came with a personal recommendation that the boat was a god buy at the price and that he was happy to recommend a "yes" to our purchase

Would defo use again, BTW he came to Essex Boatyards for the out of water and the sea trial
