I think it's safe to say that for most it's not about the money. As long as there is enough to make the lifestyle sustainable then great. Probably no different to sailing authors of the past. Of course, some like Vagabond and Delos make a fortune through good business sense and being nice people, but it's not like they're flaunting it. Then there's Doodles, which is more of a lifestyle channel these days, but he certainly knows his audience, and he pays his crew.
