EA Navigation Charges for 2015 to rise by 1.6%

The EA have now confirmed that navigation charges for 2015 will rise by an inflation only increase of 1.6%. Renewal letters for Thames customers will be going out later this month.

The EA originally proposed a continuation of the "inflation +2% formula" applied in recent years but opposition from river user groups succeeded in limiting this to inflation only based on the CPI in July this year.

I was expecting it to be at least the same as previous years, so [FONT=&quot]relatively[/FONT] happy with that.
