The EA have released provisional figures for the number of responses received for the Charges Consultation.
It will be some time before we receive any indication of outcomes but we are aware that the EA's final proposals for the Thames will need to be submitted to the Environment Minister during October if they are to be approved in time for implementation on 1st January 2022.
In addition to these direct responses the EA also recorded 105 emails containing feedback on the consultation but which was not given through the formal consultation route. They will consider the comments made in these emails alongside the formal responses.

Here you go - E&OE of course !!!
Thames - All craft 13660 - 428 responses = 3.1%
Anglian - All craft 4815 - 512 responses = 10.6%
Medway - All craft 1246 - 38 responses = 3.0%
My conclusion is that the proposed increases etc for Anglian were severe enough to create an angry backlash but the Thames and Medway are content to go along with another 6% next year without feeling its worth making a fuss about !
(ducks below taffrail and awaits deluge of incoming saying it wouldn't have made any difference!)

just waiting for somebody to whinge down here on the Medway about the EA, am going to enjoy myself asking if they bothered to respond to the questionaire, or if they were even aware of it.

The TMBA will be conducting a boaters satisfaction survey later this month. It will be online, similar to commercial feedback questionnaires and should take no more than a few minutes to complete.
It will not be restricted to TMBA members and any motor boater based on the non tidal Thames (i.e.paying a powered craft registration fee to the EA), or who visited the waterway this year, will be able to participate.

had to fib a bit could not continue unless filling in thewhere do you moor section.
as visitor we moor on the riverbank so ticked that box even though not a resident of the river.
