Neither, unless by DZR you mean bronze. Others will probably be along to correct me but I believe DeZincification Brass is just one step up the ladder from ordinary brass.

Provided it is made to correct specification
Dezincification Resistant Brass CW602N (CZ132) is commonly
referred to as DZR brass.
The metal is heated treated and monitored in production to achieve
the strict specification necessary to meet B.S. requirements.

Dzr brass is a leaded brass and the heat treatment is the all important factor.
DZR (CZ132) or bronze, with chromed ball and neoprene seal. There is some question about the suitability of s/s valves and through hulls as evidenced by the fact that many suppliers specify that they are not suitable for below waterline applications. So why take the chance?
True, Blakes are DZR which means they last a bit longer but not forever - I'm not the only one to have had trouble with an old one. But stainless steel would be FAR worse (are there such things?). Phosphor bronze, if you never want to worry about them again. Specially on the heads seacock. But they are not cheap.
