Dyneema; where to purchase?

Sk38 seems the lowest grade.

I only want 3 metres to toy with of 3mm or 5mm diameter.

No sheathing required or wanted; I want to splice.

Red or some other bright colour.

I have bought from ebay before but don't think it was even dyneema.

Anyone have a link for good value (I am just playing at the moment) 3mm or 5mm dyneema of 3m length on ebay (if that is cheapest source)?

I can only find 5mm, in red, on ebay for a whopping £17.

red will be more expensive, try searching for self colour in sk75 which is probably the most common at the moment.

I tried splicing 4mm dyneema but found my fids too big, they are made up from the internal core of a failed Morse cable and might be 1mm in diam. I'm sure I will find some thinner wire but 2 x 1mm wire is too much, plus the bury, for 4mm braided rope.

just had a quick look, no single braid came up unless there's some hidden in there somewhere. All that came up was no use for OP to splice, seems to be available on ebay about couple quid per metre for 5mm single braid 12 strand 12 strand 5mm dyneema: Search Result | eBay

if you have a huge wallet. Way more pricey than ebay.
No point going for sk99 either, wasting more money.. something else will break first.

Search for “12 strand dyneema” or “uncovered dyneema“ on eBay. There are loads of suppliers.

I buy from “ropeandfendershack” on eBay.

Don't buy dyneema, buy 'High molecular weight polyethylene' (HMWPE) it's non-branded dyneema HMPE / Dyneema 12-strand with PU coating | Ropes Direct
