Started my engine today and found battery wasn't getting a charge. Investigations eventually led to the regulator. When I took the cover off, a diode was lying loose in the cover. From the solder traces, it was connected between D+ and 50 terminals.
\none of the schematics I have looked at have any diodes fitted, so has mine been modified in some way? Any ideas of it's purpose, and which way round do I refit it?
