Hi Guys!

Anybody know the correct way to wire an amp-meter in to a stuart dynastart?

Best not to fit one, output is so low you will only upset yourself.

If you do need one, fit one with a remote shunt, fit inline with the pos or neg lead, the ammeter then measures the small volt drop across the shunt. to not fit a inline ammeter, the volt drop in the cabling to it will do your amps no good at all.

Having a dynastart I would have to agree with the first comment.

If I were to install an ammeter I would go for a remote current transformer so that you don't have to run heavy cables to the meter.
