I've read several slightly conflicting versions of this important detail. They vary from 30m overall, to a 24m East and 21m West side? The preferred channel is the west side. It's not a power cable, but I don't want to touch it. Top of our windex / vhf is 21.5m.
Or we just go West of Dursey!
Any less confusion to be had?
Cheers, Graeme

Worse case looks like 21 metres. Probably OK at low water. I remember is seeming quite high.

Thanks, We'll just go past by the Bull and cow rocks. We went under Fehmarn bridge last year at 22m. Didn't touch but it was awful close. Nuff said!

When I was there in 09 I noticed the cable which pulls the car across was loose, not supported in the pylons. Result is it sags in an unpredictable way, as well as pulling the car downwards as it ascends the catenary towards the first pylon, must be an unnecessary strain. I thought it bad engineering practice, but someone must have done the sums....?

Maybe that cable is the lowest.

Went round the outside today. By the Calf, Cow and the Bull! Met a couple of pilot whales and several dolphins on the way through. No weather to worry about and we timed the tide with us.
