Hope you get to SofF next week JTB. I'm off to Stansted tonight, wehey, flight to Genoa, boat unloads off ship at about noon tomorrow. Then 90 miles westwards into a F5 westerly, eek. But we'll have it all polished up by the time you get down for your, erm, "work" visit

Yep, all booked, I'll be knocking around PV on Friday afternoon/evening, and planning to have a look around the boat show on Saturday morning. Have a great last leg of the delivery, see you on Mole Sud!

Yeah, though depends what wx forcast you use!

I'm using a paid-for they.net, and that says F4 WSW inshore 3pm tomorrow, though 5+6 offshore midway twixt corsica and mainland, and those waves will run to the shore So I'm expecting F5 waves but a F4 wind. No worries, I'll just hide in Varazza or San Remo or somewhere if I don't like what I sea Saturday morning forecast is much better

Yes, for the leg that the ship is sailing right now, I'm in the best spot, port bow

I checked that on the official site of Italian Air Force, here.
Just drag the mouse on the area to see the details.
They're usually a bit on the safe side, but accurate enough, overall.
Never made me feel the need to spend for better service, anyway.
Btw, it's the same source that is broadcasted on ch68 VHF.
If it stays westerly, I'd rather hide before reaching San Remo.
Alassio for instance has a small but nice marina, just a bit exposed to NE (not a problem under current assuptions). And as a bonus, you'd have the restaurant "Il Palma" within walking distance.

Eek, Meteo France reckons SW F6-7 on Friday afternoon at the French end of your trip. Saturday morning is looking a much better time to travel.

Thanks Nick and Mario. The ship loadmaster just called me 10mins ago and said that becuase of the port bow position we are last to unload, so he is estimating 18.00 crane off tomorrow. That's alot of waiting around, ho hum. I dont fancy thwacking thru those waves in the dark so I reckon I should nip into Genoa or Varazze marina tomorrow night, and do the trip early saturday morning, and get to antibes at noon or so on Saturday
