Dufour yacht, how do you get inside the cabin light to change lamp?

How do you get to the lamp?

I've tried twisting and pulling but have not applied too much force! I dont want to cause damage by not removing the rim correctly.

How is it done please?

The whole light fitting pulls out.
Incidentally. I found that when the bulb blew the switch contacts fused together in the on position.

So just get a couple of tea spoons and prise it down carefully!

I also found that Dufour appeared to have used different size hole cutters in different parts of the boats. Some light fittings were barely hanging in there. Others were difficult to extract.

Ours are similar and the bezel pops off, just located on a couple of lugs, a thin blade under the edge. Have to say the lights are a real pain, switches do not seem to handle 10w bulbs.......I have now replaced switches and replaced with LED bulbs, so far so good.....
