I have recently viewed a Dufour Sortilege from 1971, as a prospective liveaboard for SWMBO and I. She looks superb, if a little quirky, but i can't find out any information about the class. i would be grateful for any thoughts and first hand experiences.

Many thanks

Neil

I read they were very tender and not so good sea going boats.Judging by the contemporary Dufour 35 they should be very well built.

Here is some basic info about the class - http://sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=5141

A pal of mine acquired a Sortilege in Antigua last year, and lives on board now - last I heard she was in Grenada.
She has a website - www.sailing-encounters.com - but it does not seem to be working at the moment.....
That wee cockpit aft of the aft cabin (in addition to the main centre cockpit) does seem to be a bit quirky.

I know one - makathea - did the ARC in 2004 and 2006, so they can't be too bad offshore. If anyone has any further details I would be most interested.
