DSC/VHF proceedure. CRIKEY CHAPS!

Some have DSC. Most still have VHF. ENOUGH seem confused! (HAVING JUST READ A RECENT THREAD) CG are water activity enthusiasts, and will read this forum. Why cant they clear up the confusion. OK, there are courses for upgrading, but you dont enroll unless/until you upgrade. So come on CG, stick your neck out, represent your colleagues in your station and let it be known what you expect from people WITH, and people WITHOUT DSC.
PLEASE... Do it now! Yeah???

IMHO it is both arrogant and ignorant to presume that officers of HM Coastguard read these pages OR more importantly will reply in this medium - not least becasue one individual can't issue a policy statement on behalf of the MRSC.
Suggest good old-fashioned letter by Royal Snail to your nearest MRSC.
Let us know what results.
