DSC GPS Interface

Having realised that my GPS isn't NMEA capable, I've just bought a Garmin GPSMAP 76 on e-bay for 40 quid. Is the interface process quite straight forward or does anyone have any recommendations?

You will need the wiring diagram.

The other thing you will need to remember is that the Garmin does not usually default to NMEA. It is a simple menu change.

My manual/diagram is on the boat, but I am sure Google can help.

Download the manual from here - it has full details on how to interface with DSC radio. You'll need to set the Interface tab in the menu to NMEA.
