Outdrives? If the sand is soft enough yes. The torpedo on the lower leg will dig in as the boat settles to one side a bit but myself and a mate who has a V42 often take advantage of a soft sandy spot to do a mid season scrub or outdrive work. He's also been caught out on the sandbanks being dozy and came to no harm
It helps if you scout the area at low tide and look for any drop offs etc you can use to your advantage. I then mark the area with 6 foot bamboo poles in a sightline at HW and look for a suitable transient 90 degree's off or use poles as a guide to place the boat exactly where I want it. Here it was as far back as I could go so I didn't have to dig so much to lower the drives
Thank you
Useful information.Pictures of Formula.
Boat has settled nicely with minimal tilt. Have asked same question to Princess technical and will post their reply.
John
recon the hull would be fine if the support is even
my boat sits on a trailer, the 'few' wheels must offer less support to the hull than a sandy beach
as Bruce said you need to scope the terrain out carefully, round here it's mud but with some big stones and some wreck remnants
