drying near brightlingsea

It's hard, clean and flattish just to the south and east of the cardinal that marks the entrance. Or, at least, it was when Iused to dry out there.....
 
If you dry out on the hard you can at least go for a drink, or into French's to get what you forgot to bring. I think it's busier than when we used to use the posts (and a bit muddier now that it gets churned up)
 
Mersea is quite steep could be a bit uncomfortable while you are waiting for the tide
No mud at first and second beaches but i would do it on the brightlingsea hard ,there is always some entertainment on the hard /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
 
Either go for Brightlingsea Hard (speak to Tony first to see where he wants you...tri's do take up a bit of space after all!!) OR as a less crowded alternative, why not dry out in the little bay at the back of the shingle spit on St Osyth? Very flat, and near enough to Brightlingsea so if you have forgotten something, French's is just a dinghy trip away!
