dry powder lubricant

Can anyone advise where to go (shop, not online) in UK for a powder lube I could use on the mainsail slugs and mast groove, sheet pulleys, etc? Is any brand/product better than another?

I used to use PTFE spray from the chandlers.

Then my small son cleaned the wooden floor of his bedroom with pledge thereby creating a completely frictionless surface. I discovered it works brilliantly on the sail slides and doesn't accumulate and gum up like the ptfe spray.

Worth a try and nothing to lose!

Pledge will probably contain silicones, which are in WD40 and other lube sprays. Smells nicer though.

ptfe lub's are often used in machine shops to lub' some moving part or cutting blades.

putting ptfe lubricant or similar into Google throws up suppliers.

And MUCH cheaper. But it seems to lubricate without any detectable amount on the surface. Weird.

I have used bumper restorer from halfords simonise as I recall does the job at a quarter of he price

Pledge contains silicone but sorry there is no silicone in WD 40 and never has been.
