Dry land stuff

Have an old but serviceable trailer; v.sturdy and devoid of any galvy or paint but has a grand layer of rust,the real challenging stuff. have got rid of loose layer, and it would be a huge expensive job to use rust killer; what about something like Trueflow(?) Does it really work? Any other ideas?

I use copious quantities of old engine oil on my trailer. yuk what a mess but is cheap. olewill

If it really is sturdy it might be worth investing not-too-much cash in it. I had a well worn trailer I used to store and move classic cars on. After stripping it and welding in a couple of sections I took it to a galvanisers. They shot blasted it and hot dipped it.
I eventually sold it after building a full canopy and got my money back several times over.
I wish I got the same returns on my cars!
There must be agricultural galvanisers in your part of the world.

Yes there are galvanisers in this locale, but we are talking about a weighty object here,- substantial girders, and as for towing it, I need a friend with a Sherman tank, but it is handy for bringing the Pandora ashore, and I want a cheap way to make it a bit more respecable. Thanks anyaway! Maybe oily paint?
