In The Times today

There's not the picture of the craft that's in the paper, it has a linked array of 8 250 HP outboards on the transom. Why did they turn to crime? There'd be a queue a mile long in Poole for these /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I suppose the Spanish police turned them in when they found the smugglers had got the same boats as they had, and could not catch them?

Re: Drug boat couple [mentioned] in court

Never mind the drugs. Where do they stow all the petrol?

[Subject line amended 'cause the Times report was about the prosecution of another man, who carried on the business after the "drug couple" were rumbled. "Details of the boats emerged yesterday at the trial of Ian Rush, who is accused of selling Crompton Marine boats to drug dealers after the arrest of Mr Davison and George."]

Was Rush the person on whom a whole thread was based some months ago, re his innocent involvement in nothing??

I know times are hard for small boatbuilders, but it sounds like they were trying a bit too hard to please their customers! If the police can't get the charges to stick, perhaps they can get them for selling non CE marked boats!
