Drowning or not??

+1000

had a case just like that in a posh hotel swimming pool. The shallow kids one WITH a lifesaver!
3yo girl was splashing happily few meters from me, mother turned her back chatting to a friend, girl slowly and absolutely annoying silently went into a deeper section, head fully submerged, no sound, no hand waving nothing, no splashing nothing! Friend of mine next to the kid grabbed her and pulled her out before I had time to react.

V. scary :(

At the age of 5 I was resuscitated by my mother after drowning in our swimming pool at home. I had been being looked after by my brothers but they had not noticed me sink to the bottom of the pool... If she had not happen to come and check up on us and see me at the bottom of the pool.... Well I would not be here now.

So this link very worth while reading

Thanks for posting...

One of my earliest memories of life is lying under water in a shallow kid's pool in the local baths, looking upwards gazing at the sky (gulping in water), no panic, probably drowning, until my Dad pulled me out to safety. Didn't leave me with a fear of water, this is only learned, small children have no fear of water, that is why they should never be unsupervised even for a moment in shallow water.
