On the boat yesterday (a bit bouncy due to the outgoing tide against the wind!) fitting an antenna to the pushpit for the AIS (13Nm range at low water - not bad!) .... putting the last bolt through the bracket - it was just crossthreading in the nut so had to keep undoing and redoing ... fumbled and dropped the screwdriver overboard !!
"Oh bum" said I, and found the sea-search magnet ... put that over where we were swinging (on a mooring - not a marina!) and giggled up and down a bit - no joy and no screwdriver ... oh well - leave it on the bottom and get another screwdriver to finish the job ...
a few minutes later picked up the magnet - with the lost screwdriver on the end!! :D

It was only 4m deep with a spring ebb .... so really didn't think we'd recover it - but saved us a few quid in replacing it!

Sunday, fitting a new bow light and drilling through the s/s plate....

Last hole and the elderly De Walt starts to smoke, even though it's not getting hot. Hmm, soon time to pension this one off and use the new Makita methinks.

Nearly fiinshed and the groaning De Walt neatly spits the dummy as it's last serviceable battery falls off into the oggin. Hard not to laugh.

Left the remains enticingly in sight at the bottom of the marina skip.
