Drop nose drop out solution

Don't know why it wouldn't stay in. Made from the core of a morse 33C cable.

Swmbo calls then nappy pins.

I made lots of those from 3 mm dis stainless bar to lock telescopic tube fittings together

I also ise then to secure over-center clips to prevent then opening by accident.

My drop nose pins are held n with spring tension stopping the drop nose from swinging open

It looks as if the drop-nose pin might be a little too short , so that the nose can't drop freely

It is held in by the spring the other end, but I am inclined to think it is wrongly organised, seeing rtb's pic above. The bevelled end is too short

That would seem the case, the drop is not big enough/wrong shape to secure the pin.
