I have just uploaded to youtube some more drone footage taken in Mallorca. This time it is Cala Mondrago but I have edited it and added some royalty free music. Not up to HenryF standard, some of the drone flying is a bit jerky.

I used Shotcut as my video editing software. Free, open source software. Very easy to use I am quite pleased with the result from the editing point of view, just need to get a bit better at flying.

Great video
Lots of "flying boats"
I don't think it was at all jerky.

I had a go at Shotcut for a while.
It does most things but I've now found the "key frame features" in other packages.
I now capture video in 4k and target HD (1K) - this means that I can re-frame and zoom in post processing.
I believe that Shotcut has key frames scheduled for its next release though.

Did you do the 70.3 yesterday ?

No - I believe it was booked up by last autumn.

And, if you remember it wasn't me that actually took part - it was my son - I'm a fat git!!

Yup sold out early this year... forgetting it was your son that did it... was in pollenca the week before cycling.

The brownlee's had an entry this year.

Very nice!
I'm impressed by how close to the beach you anchored. I normally aim for just around the corner to the right, but stop at the corner without going that close to the beach. I'll be braver next time! (I need 2.2m)

It was shot just before Easter, second week in April. I assume that the beach bar will be open by now.

Great video. Mondrago looks even better from the air! We were there a little over a week ago (6th May) and the beach bar was closed. It was open by this time in 2016. A friend in Cala d'Or had heard that they were still sorting out their licence... will try again soon.

The yellow buoys that keep you away from the beach were not in place in April, when the buoys are there you would not be able to park where I was nor would the 3 boats closest to me.
