Has anyone tried this apparently wonderful product? If so, would you recommend it?
Thank you.

<font color=blue>I thought it was neccesary to have a slight drip for lubrication purposes. One every one minute or so.

There's teflon or ptfe packing that doesn't need water to lubricate. ccscott reckons it's good stuff

Gentlemen,
Thank you for your responses; according to Nigel Calder - Boatowner's Mech & Elec Manual- "in normal use shuts off the water in the seal altogether" & is apparently composed of shredded teflon in a heavy hydrocarbon base. Please note I am quoting & make no claims in respect of understanding!

Thank you

They certainly rate it in the West Marine catalogue - but haven't found any in a UK chandlery that is called "Drip Free Packing"

"Drip-Free Packing" as made by The Drip-Free Packing Company of Florida. There was a thread on sourcing it in the UK last year, concluded that no uk suppliers, and that West were best bet.
