I find myself marooned in the Hilton Portsmouth next Tuesday. Rather than study the excellent and no doubt priceless art on the walls of the room, or wear out the remote looking for summat to watch on telly, I thought I might have a few beers in or around the area.

Anyone up for a beer on Tueday evening?

Hi ,
I will be booked into Hilton Portsmouth by 7 - so any time after 7-15!
I dont know the area very well, so any suggestions most welcome...

Cheers

Jim

FFS - port solent /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

take a taxi to old portsmouth and have an old fashioned pub crawl /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

But I'll need to go and pump the boat out at some point.....ain't getting bladdered and then rowing out to her! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

goodness me, yes- Port Solent indeed!

not that old Portsmouth really counts for proper boozers, does it? not enough of em for a start, have to go round twice at least.

Fratton/Kingston/London Rd - up one side-back the other is good.... Emsworth's ok if you can't walk far; tho sadly Les the town Drunk seems no longer with us. Hell's bells, cosham high st is better n port solent. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

oh I dunno - start at the pembroke for a nice pint of bass for a tummy liner, then the monks bar, the dolphin, duke of buckingham, duke of wellington, a couple of real ales in the still and west, spice island, a couple more real ales in the bridge tavern and end up in the american bar ......... most places will do pub grub as well
yum yum ...... will be doing some of them again soon

quality not quantity /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

here is a suggested route - it will take you to most of them listed
