Drift nets in the Wallet?

A couple of years ago I nearly encountered a long, unattended drift net in the Wallet. Coming back from Tollesbury a couple of weeks back I thought I heard a transmission from Thames which was advising that they were still being set in the Wallet - is this the case?

My experience is if you go vaguely mid way between the buoys/flags there's no problem, but then we're long keel
