We are having increasing problems finding someone to dredge an area in the river Brue for us.
Have any other clubs had success ?
Do you know an operator reasonably local - East end of Bristol Channel - who might travel to Burnham on sea ? The last quote we got was £1500 just to travel to us.
Any ideas would be welcome.

Sorry to hear you are struggling to keep the silt down.Larkhams based at chepstow would probably do it.I have no idea what the cost would be though.

When I visited BoS last June some of your guys were having a go with the propellor wash from the old pilot boat.Seemed to work well at cleaning out under the pontoons.

I am afraid that our staff are always quiet - very quiet ! We are a small, self-help club.
We have used (and continue to use ), several methods over the years, but the rate of silt deposit takes some keeping-up with ! Hence we try to get something much bigger in every few years.
Our last contractor moved to the South Coast.
Thanks for the replies.
Pigpen - we have not been out to look carefully at the approaches since "the big storm" last week - but there doesn't seem to be any major change to the approach.
