Hi,

Where would I get plans/drawings for an old racing yacht of the 1920/30's.?
I am thinking of a sleek long keeled strip planked hull.

Something for messing about in the bay when theres a nice breeze and a bit of sun. I don't want to buy a plastic laser or something like that for the price I can build my own boat with beautiful lines.

How large a boat are you thinking of? I was reading a backnumber of CB the other day [I do this between issues] and came across an article about the Yarmouth One-design, which I thought very appealing. This is about 20ft long and 6ft beam, with a short counter. As this was originally built in carvel, it may be suitable. The class officials sound very stuffy, as one person who wanted to build one was refused permission on the flimsiest of pretexts. I actually prefer the very similar clinker-built Victory.
Peter.
