Dramatic Walton news ??

Have you thought about The Stone on the East side of Mersea Island. Lots of boats can anchor near the entrance to Pyefleet and plenty of room for a party and BBQ above the gravel in sea grass. I've attended a BBQ there before with around 20 people attending. It's not the Walton Backwaters but a lovely location.
I won't be around unfortunately.

Good suggestion. There is also a reasonably priced campsite just round the corner.

Better than the £43 a night I paid just outside Weymouth 3 years ago.....
