After someone kindly allowing us to look around their Dragonfly 1200, we are hooked!. But obviously can't afford one of them! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif So we are looking for a Dragonfly 800, is anyone considering selling theirs? /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif Anyone in the Southampton area willing to take a couple out when they next go for a day sail?

Regards

Jedder (Monohull: For SALE)

There is Dragonfly 920 cruising for sale here in Malahide. The phone number on it is +353 87 255 5980. I have met the owner but I can't say I know him, and I have no idea how much he wants for it. It looks (from the outside) to be in very good condition, and not much used as far as I can see.

Of course she is /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif But thank you for your kind offer, though Essex is a tad too far at present.

Do you have any problems with insurance?

i took on the pervious owners insurance, no prob.
i have been sailing multihulls for 20+ years.
main prob i see with the dragon fly is the traveler accross the cockpit, narrow for reaching, much better on the rear beam.
some times there are racing tri's for sale,

you can set the site to send you updates, makes interesting reading.
but as i said try emsworth, not far.
bilobobabins worth a try on the forum too

Simon Forbes is the Mocra racing contact. He has an 800 in Southampton, and he might show you around his, or take you out. You can contact him via the Mocra website...

His 800 is raced hard and is a bit bashed! It might go quick, but it's a bit scruffy.

Thanks, Simon showed me around his boat today. He is a total gent.

Looking to put an offer in, fingers crossed.
