I am sorry to have to inform you of the death of Dr Mark Warner yesterday. Mark was Chairman of The Association of Thames Yacht Clubs, Patron of the Thames Valley Rally and sat on many committees. He spent most of his time working in the interest of all boaters not just those on the Thames. Mark will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

This is sad news. Mark was respected by all who knew him for his tireless work on behalf of all motorboaters. Please extend our deepest condolences to his family.

Sad to hear of Dr Warner's death. He was a real character, and the Thames will never be quite the same without him. Shame about his boat too.

Amongst Mark's many achievements after many years on the RYA Council, was the separation of the Motor Boat Committee from RYA Cruising. Sadly it was recently re-absorbed into RYA Cruising.

I hope those on the current RYA Cruising Committee will not let all Mark's work go in vain.

My condolences to his wife Jenny, who has been a tower of strength to Mark.

<font color=blue>I was telephoned and told Mark had died, whilst not entirely unexpected it still came as a great shock. Mark and I have always been good mates, and I feel motorboating has lost a prize champion.
My sympathies are with Jenny at this time.
