So I've done full service on both legs, SB is fine. All lined up

Port side, one is now out, one will connect if I swing leg over. No hydrolic lines was touched, etc.

Hydrolic tie bar version.

Port is alarming saying steering failure, I've tried steering and tilting. But getting knowhere.

Desperate for help.

When you put the ignitions on the system will open a ‘service valve’ that allows fluid to pass through the valve block.
So, put the ignition on, push the drive so it aligns with one of the rams and pop the pin in, then pull the drive the other way to line up the other ram & out the pin in.
When you next fire up, the drives will self centre

Thanks Andy. I've got a assistant coming tomorrow, so that's now do-able.

I did start engine's and try and turn with wheel. But it was a waste of time, stiff, then easy (but not moving legs, and obviously a steering alarm.

I'm assuming it goes in to melt down when it can't read the correct data.

No, it won’t like a steering fault and will likely have disabled the steering because of it. Hence it didn’t have an effect on the ram position.

They are quite sensitive so the instant you turn the wheel and request a steering movement, if it doesn’t then see a corresponding change in steering position then it will alarm. Plus when you start the engines it will do a very slight self test where it does a slight movement in either direction, and again, if it fails that test then it will trigger a fault & the steering won’t work.

Connect them manually first and fire it up and you should be sorted

Thank you so much Andy,

I'll connect the one ram manually then,

Fire engine up
Push leg to the 2nd ram
Connect up
Then restart

I might actually sleep tonight now you've shed some light.

Not quite…

Connect one ram first
Ignition on (DON’T start)
Push drive towards other ram and connect
Then you can fire up 👍

Sleep well!
