DP-G Trim Issue

G'day guys I have a Albemarle 268 with a KAMD300 jackshafted to a DP-G outdrive.
The issue i have is the trim... It will go down pressing the down arrow on the trim control panel but i have to hold the red button and press the up arrow at the same time to raise.
Surely thats not right and i should be looking at a new relay?

The red Button is there to put the drive up to beach ( Above +6 on the trim gauge ) which you press with the up button.
What you may find is the trim buttons wear with age and eventually fail - you could swap the relays around to find out if one of them is failing
