Plugs is what you mean I think, you want to countersink the screws and plug the heads so that the fastening can't be seen. Teak ones are easy to get commercially at a price but the best thing is to cut them yourself with a plug cuttter of the right size - or are you merely talking a few. You need to match the timber and if you are only talking a few and can name the timber and size I could cut you some and mail them.

agreed - best buy a plug cutter

Your local common or garden tool shop will have them - sold by Black and Decker in a range of sizes. Chuck in electric drill. Not expensive. No skill required. Use a scrap of the timber used in the item itself, to get a good match.

NB VERY IMPORTANT set them in varnish or case need in PVAglue, NOT repeat NOT in epoxy - you will need to get them out sometime!

Re: Plugs

Some are teac about 10 and others are cherry about 20, I do not have the original wood since I am taking bits out cleaning and refiiting, the result looks good but the holes !

Are they not standard size?

they look all the same to me

Re: Plugs

Don't have any cherry so I would have a problem doing those for you but the teak is not a problem. Size is important since there are different sizes of plug cutters. If you can measure the diameter, I can cut you some in teak - I think I do have a quite 'vivid' piece of teak that might match the cherry. You could look at it and make your own decision - but I do need the size and then you'll have to pm me with an address.
