Don\'t you just LOVE chandlers- Strange treatment today
Went to SeaTeach in Emsworth in person today with the intention of buying a Tacker , as well as a EPIRB, and flares so not a small change customer.
However the only chap who knew about the Tacker was on the phone. So ok fair dos and I was happy to wait. After 10 mins call finished and I thought good I would be attended to next. Oh no whats this he then takes another phone call in spite of me waiting in his view. After a further 15 mins one of the others apologise and say that its a complicated order but its £2,000 worth of business and quote 'good for their overdraft', infering my £99 Tracker sale was therefore low priority. My good mood started to reduce.
Finally after 45mins since I arrived I concluded I did not want to spend allday at SeaTeach and they did not want to take my money so I left no further comment from the 'assistants'.
Well needless to say I will not be darkening SeaTeachs doors ever again either for a Tracker or any other bit of kit although they could have had a lot of my money today.
Seems a strange way in my opinion to treat customers from a business that openly admitted they were wanting to reduce their overdraft - and this with a recession coming on as well.
No doubt they must be happy and I am happy to go elsewhere but it is a bit sad really for one of my local shops.
