Saw her in the water a couple of weeks ago at Hamble point, there was someone working on the engines, don't know what they were but WOW if they sound as good as they look...... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Yes, they were out sea trialling it for a customer I think.
Got to hand it to the Italians though when it comes to the absolute best of the best there is no one to touch them when it comes to boat building, no disrespect to UK chaps but they really are a cut above everything else when you want the real McCoy.
Mind you they can build some pig ugly things too but overall if you've got the dosh no where else to go really.
was looking at some stats the other day on Italian boat building industry, Holey Moley!do they build some phenominal amount of premium footage!, I mean not just a little bit more I mean like ten time the amount of yachts and superyachts from any other euro builder, no wonder half of nearly all components and interiors for other euro builders comes from Italy. No such thing as a national 100% built product anymore they have it sewn up, you want the best of whatever parts, sub manufactured components etc have to go to Italy, sad but true unfortunately.
Nautical the one at LaNapoule also looks sexy, high gloss external woodwork, buff fender socks and....................hang on now........ it is a sports cruiser so we need to stick a naff old cover on it.
Yes, it's true. The output of the Azimut-Benetti group or the Ferretti group dwarfs the likes of Fairline or Sunseeker. The Italian boat building and components industry makes ours look like a cottage industry. Still the UK boatbuilding industry is pretty much the only bit of manufacturing that UK PLC has left so we have to be proud of it
