I stood behind four guys at the ticket office who all looked older than me and they all paid £15.

I'm having to do it the other way - I've just had to remind my kids - who are all strapping 6 footers - to bring their proof of ID so that they can get in with the (under16) child tickets.

Nope, so obviously I look it! Mind you the girl selling the tickets only looked about 18 or 20 and at that age they think anyone over 40 is really old!

Last Year I was in Gosport.
I had some free time and swmbo was with Me.

So we decided to look at HMS Victory etc.


The Ticket man on the ferry said 'Over 60's'
I nearly twatted Him (twatted, scuse folks Northern term for bunch of fives) but He said 'half price!'

Blimey! first time I'd got owt for being old!

Flushed with that success, the rest of the Tourist stuff was half price too!

If I limp and get a zimmer whatsit will Boat show tickets be cheaper?

But as someone has said on another post.
Why should we pay to see summat we wanna buy or may wanna buy?

Motor Boat show.
Motorbike show.
Motorshow.

Been there, done that as well as an Exhibitor.

But when Times were different.

So why do we need to pay to see stuff we might buy?

Well at 60 plus we aint gonna get a 20 year finance deal!

Then again years ago as a small 'stallholder' it just about made economic sense.

Elf and Safety rules. now.

So the over 60's should not be encouraged to visit Exhibitions.
Fear of fainting and stuff.

I,m not in the same League.

But most of the over 60's might be the buyers of the real Expensive stuff!!!
Zimmer frame boarding ladders could be a good add on!

No, the Show entrance fee can't be for nowt imho.
