No1 Moose and I went down to the boat on Monday to do the 500hour and 12 month service on the engines, we expected to be finished by Tuesday evening.
We finished yesterday!!
Anyway, The engines have been serviced everyear by Volvo. At every 12month service the Cooling stacks are meant to be cleaned; Which they have'nt been because the bolts have not been touched. Naughty Volvo!!!
It took us a whole day to get the impellers out, and new ones in. (I bought the wrong size remover, which is now for sale on the "For Sale" Forum)
We are going down there today to clean everything up.
It is satisfying to know that we have done it all though

What are cooling stacks?
What special tools are needed for impellers??
We usually just pull them out with fingers, Or poke them with a screw driver.

Not being difficult, just never heard of either.
