Not many places you can see the three in the same day!

Many thanks to those who advised on rounding the Mull of Kintyre. I made it in both directions in pretty benign conditions, but the tides were still pretty spectacular; one minute 4.5 knots with me, the next 2 knots against as I turned the corner from S to E! Both Sanda and Gigha well worth the visit and it was a struggle to prevent myself from heading further north rather than retracing my course back into the Clyde. I would have made the circuit via the Crinan if I had crew aboard. So where were the Peacocks?

Well done!

Its a great circuit if you can manage it. Tides are confusing and as long as conditions are right add great interest to the GPS speed readout!

You got it, Achamore Gardens. Quite a shock to round a corner to be faced with one in all its full glory, especially as I hadn't seen anyone else in the gardens since arriving. Quite a privilege to be able to wander around such a lovely place completely alone. The Paps were quite glorious as well.

Thanks for the update - they are both wonderful places to visit. On Sanda there is a good walk to an original Stephenson lighthouse. You'll be heading over to Northern Ireland next! (well worth it).
