End of week we leave for 3 to 4 weeks in Aegean with our 3 year old Maltese. Same as last year. The difference this time is we are taking with us the two 15days old puppies.Very easy to handle at the moment. Would you expect the mother to stay cool or are we in for real troubles? Any similar experience?

Apart from the heat concern, have you thought whether the timing of your trip will coincide with the necessary puppy vaccination schedule at the Vets?

If vaccination schedule okay, I'd take a fan that you can either run from batteries or via the boat battery. Also take it you have a wind scoop. With the windscoop, the forecabin can be the most comfortable place esp. in midday and PM heat.

One last thing, make you you get two suitable sized pet life jackets and a couple of short lines; you never know if one or both will have an inclination to go swimming!

All in all the most important thing is keeping the puppies with mum esp at their age, but with windscoop, fan etc hopefully they'll be just fine providing you sort out the toilet arrangements!

I am counting on windscoop, but the 12V fan is a good idea. I will look around, and I will also check vaccination issues. Anyway it is not a transatlantic more like island hopping. Thx anyway.. Regards George
P.S. the hot dogs was hilarious, but I still prefer souvlaki
