Can anyone help please?

I am thinking of a run over to the Channel Is sometime this month - problem is my mother in law has arrived with her dog in tow......

If I take them across with me are the Channel Is considered UK or 'Foreign' and therefore require all the jabs / quarantine / pet passport etc. before returning to the mainland.

I know that you can go to France without customs declarations et al (these are required for Ch Is) but what about the mut?

Many thanks

Michael

Same applies for all the islands. Pet passport is no use in Alderney as there are no facilities for reading the chip, so as Rich says, if you've called at a French port on the way, your dog will have to stay not only on board but below decks. Could get very smelly:)

More importantly, the dog will have to go into quarantine on return. Pet's passports are only valid on certain specified carriers.
