Hi there, What is the best lifejacket on the market to suit our dog, it needs to be strong enough to be attached to a winch to get him on and off boat into dinghy, he weighs over 35 kilos, we had a lovely sail on the Blackwater yesterday, marred a little by the struggle on our behalf to get him in and out of dinghy, although he would have been quite happy swimming to Osea and back !!!!
Many Thanks

Anne

Inky weighs 40kgs so you have my sympathy. Got a Crewsaver LJ from Marinestore, Maldon. They let us try it out for fit before buying. Being a guide dog he is happy to wear it but I would think a 'normal' dog might need to get used to it.

Thankyou, dear Solly is a Staffie so very biddable, but his weight combined with his short legs are not conducive to easy handling on and off boat!!!!!! We are just around the corner from Maldon so will pop in there.

Many Thanks Anne

We use a crewsaver for our Springer Spaniel. If winching aboard you need to make sure the straps are wide enough not to dig into the dog's tummy.
