Came back from East Cowes yesterday and met one other boat in the way back to the Hamble. It felt very eerie afer such a busy weekend. Then again it's the sort of feeling you get on Sunday when you pull in to your home berth and everyone's gone home.

Eateries, stop serving food @ 2100hrs, so got to be in early.

Can't be out there in the dark, far too many lobster pots!

The eateries are generally desserted too. It could be we're so keen on getting back to work the next day we cut our days off short to phsyc ourselves up for it.

Think that's not far from the mark. More a case of just generally getting things ready for work the next day, car unloaded, stuff put away, clothes into washing machine. We're not too bad as live just under an hour from the boat so getting away by 6:30 means that everything is sorted by 9.

It was quiet when we entered the Hamble not long after 5 and the boatyard was deserted when we got there. Quite a nice feeling but unless you're able to not work, it's not one that most of us get to experience enough.
