Does plastic padding gelcoat filler need hardner

Have some plastic padding gelcoat filler in a box with various epoxys and hardners, does gelcoat filler need a hardner? The is a tube there which doesn't seem to belong with anything else.

Mine has a very small tube of hardener to go with the large tube of white stuff - same length of both to make a mix.

Same here. Fat tube of filler, small thin tube of hardener.

Short answer yes. I've found this stuff goes grey over time though - it looked fine when I first put it on but now it looks like seagull poo.

UK shops often stock the little tube as a seperate item. As it is the bit that often dries up or gets lost.

beware the odd pp hardner's are usually yellow - the gell and gell filler are (obviously) white.

now would the yellow mix with the grey to give white??? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
