Just curious. I've got 4 nearly new safety harnesses with lanyards for sale on Ebay.

I'm surprised to find no interest in them whatsoever in the last 6 days. Is it because they've been superceded by combined lifejacket/harnesses or is a tenner each too much or what?

You're right most people opt for the combined unit when they replace their lifejackets, but the safety line costs nearly as much as the jacket!!! Before the lifejacket with harness, I had an Ocean jacket with built in harness and spliced up a line from a heavy but of rope. Now my webbing lines are probably weakened from UV exposure but the old rope version is still good - consumerism gone mad!

Well, the ebay 'market forces' suggests how effective campaigning has become to encourage us to wear combis.

Shame they are so bulky and uncomfortable, IMO. And I think I've tried a goodly few..

I even have some onboard but prefer ( and always, always am clipped on with my...never mind but its been a good friend thru sun and wind..)
